Gabriel's Inn is happy to accommodate your next special event. From rehearsal dinners and wedding receptions to business lunches and evening cocktail parties, the professional staff will serve you well. Wedding ceremonies may also be conducted in the gardens of the Inn. The gazebo and trellis on the front lawn of the restaurant grounds make the ideal romantic setting. Fine Dining in a Historical Atmosphere ~ This remarkable building, Gabriel’s Inn, was constructed in 1862 and occupied by six Welsh families who had worked in the quarries that settled the village in 1831. In 1896, Dr. George H. Riggs founded a sanitarium here "for the care and treatment of Nervous and Mental Disease of women." In 1968, Guy Gabriel bought the property and turned it into Gabriel’s French Provincial Inn. He raised his family here as well as many of the produces and meats used the restaurant. In December of 1998, the DeLawder family purchased the property, and in keeping with Mr. Gabriel’s tradition, they intend to raise their family here and have returned Gabriel’s Inn into the fine dining establishment that it is known for.
